ROMANIA && INDIA && COSTA RICA!!!!! Route 5 baby!!!

If I’m gonna be completely honest, when I first saw the routes, I was disappointed. A lot. The countries I had my mind set on, and I thought the Lord was leading me, were Cambodia, somewhere in Africa, and some Spanish speaking country because I’ve taken four years of Spanish. When the routes came out, the closets one to what I wanted was route three, including Cambodia, Swaziland, and Ethiopia. Me, wanting to explore more of this big world, didn’t want to go back to Swaziland. And although Cambodia and Ethiopia sound AMAZING, I just couldn’t bring myself to choosing a route that wouldn’t allow me to use the four years of Spanish I worked so hard to learn.

Sad and confused, I took another look at all the routes. Something about route five just stuck. Although it forfeited everything I thought I would be doing, I would get the chance to go to Costa Rica, where I could use my Spanish, while also getting to go to not only three different countries but three different continents!! With the first come, first serve mindset and knowing the routes would fill up fast, I submitted route 5 without another thought. A few days later, and I received an email saying it was official!!!

So here I am watching the Lord already break my expectations && show me that His ways are not mine because His are always better! I’ve already started messaging my future fellow teammates on this route and I cannot wait to do life with them!!!!!

Here’s a little bit more about what i will be doing in each country::

Draganesti Olt, Romania. This is the very first stop! My team will be partnering with hope church with a focus on bible distribution, evangelism, and sharing the gospel with at-risk communities.

Manipur, India. At our second stop we get to partner with bibles for the world. We get to help church plant and do evangelism in places that are unreached by the gospel! We will simply be loving people like Jesus did, while teaching them about the Bible.

San jose, Costa rica. On our last stop, we will be working with an Adventures in Missions base. We will be doing sports ministry, kids ministry, community outreach, and manual labor!!

Knowing the routes makes this all feel even more real! endless THANK YOU’S for the prayers, encouragement, and sacrificial giving!!
