Have you ever dreamed about something for so long, and then you live that dream out, and now the reality of it being over hits extra hard?

I’ve been dreaming about going on the World Race since my sophomore year of high school, and now it’s over. Literally. I am sitting at home on the same couch I sat on before I left last September. And no, frankly the World Race didn’t meet up to all my “dreamy” expectations, but man, it changed my life because it didn’t. With all glory to God, I am walking out of this radical season of my life changed, molded, and pulled in closer by the arms of our Heavenly Father.

So whether you have been supporting me since day one of fundraising or this is the first blog of mine you have read, thank you.

Two words that just won’t do to explain the beauty of being supported by you. You!

It’s been an honor to have everyone from family to strangers rooting me on from all sides of my life, believing in me on days that I didn’t even believe in myself. You guys became the vessels God used to stewart a season of my life that was infinitely harder than I could have imagined, yet drew me closer to the feet of Jesus than I had ever been before.

And its all just the beginning.

Now you might be wondering, “what’s next Kenzi?”

So here are all the details that I have been so excited to share:

I have decided to say a big “YES” to alumni team leading for one of next year’s World Race Gap Year squads!!!!!

So catch me back in good old Gainesville, Georgia September 1st! Alumni team leading is a three month position where I will be leading a team of 5-9 girls in discipleship & kingdom & truth & all things World Race! I will live with a squad during their first six weeks in Gainesville for discipleship training, and then I will be traveling with them to their first country for another 6 weeks! I will live with them in Gainesville for six weeks while they walk through discipleship training and then I will be traveling to Guatemala for another six weeks to serve alongside them. When December rolls around, the other alumni team leaders and I will be raising up new team leaders for the rest of the six months of our team’s gap year overseas.

If you know me well, you might be thinking, “Kenzi, what about college?”

I’m still going! This unique opportunity just meant that I have deferred my acceptance to Whitworth University for another semester. I’m excited to say that I will be starting my college career at the beginning of January this coming up year!

FUNDRAISING:

This also means I will be walking into another season of fundraising this summer (which can be so intimidating in all honesty). My goal is $3,000 to be fully funded for team leading.

If you want to support my “YES” by donating, then I’ll leave all the ways you can donate below!

How to Donate:

1. Send Cash or Check — This way I can collect all donations, and make one big deposit into my fundraising account! If you want my address I will leave my contact information below, so you can contact me and ask for it 🙂

Phone Number: (509)2904467

Email: [email protected]

2. Venmo or Paypal — this is one of the easiest ways for me to receive donations. This way, likewise when receiving cash or checks, I can one big deposit into my fundraisng account!

Venmo username: mackenzisandberg

Paypal account name and number: Mackenzi Sandberg or 5092904467

(make sure you spell my first name without an “e” at the end)

3. Directly to My Fundraising Account — My fundraising bar and donation button are not up yet on this page. However, you may check and see if it’s up by the time you are reading this! Any donations made straight to my fundraising account can be tax deductible!

More than anything, I would love to ask you to partner with me in prayer over next fall’s World Race gap year participants! You can be praying that God would cover all of their worries and anxiety about living with a new community in His truth and love, and that through this journey they would leave knowing the heart of their Heavenly Father more than ever before. You can be praying that I receive the funds I need, and that God would show up in new ways in my life as I lean into Him through this unique leadership position.

Thanks God for another season where I am completely dependent on you showing up & where I get to see you move through other people.

You all are THE BEST!!!!!!!!

Sending my love && gratitude,

Kenzi Grace
