It’s officially official! Our next and final country has been put on our route and I am CELEBRATING that I get to announce this news with all of you who are following my gap year! Saying “yes” to the World Race in the middle of a world pandemic has made my whole nine months journey a completely unknown route that is slowly getting pieced together bit by bit in its right timing. It’s been saying “yes” to following Jesus no matter where he takes me && trusting that as I lay my life in the hands of a good Father, my feet will always be in the right place.

So, what’s next??????

THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC!!!!!

March 11th, my squad will be leaving the YWAM base we have been living at for the past two months, and traveling to San Jose for a week long debrief. Then on the 18th, we will be flying out to the Dominican. Straight from the CR to the DR!

Our debrief is at a campus about a half an hour outside the city of San Jose. There, our squad mentor and one of our squad coaches will be flying in to meet and lead us in a week long of processing, resting, grieving, and transitioning for what’s to come. We get to dedicate a week of our time to learn how to grieve Costa Rica healthily and rest our bodies so that we have all that we need to pour out from a place of overflow in the next country. It’s a way to transition well in the midst of so many goodbyes and unexpected hello’s.

As for ministry in the Dominican Republic, I have absolutely no idea what it will look like. At debrief, we will receive a lot more official details on where we are staying and what we are going to be doing. For now, we get to trust that God will meet us with redemption, freedom, and pursuit in the next place we get to call home. I firmly believe that the best is yet to come in this crazy life. The more we pursue the Father, the more we will look like Jesus, and ultimately the greater capacity we will have to love; with greater capacity to love comes deeper joy through every and all circumstances.

You can be praying for my squad in the next couple of weeks as we leave behind a place and people we have grown to love deeply. The tears that have already ran down our cheeks and also the ones to come are simply God’s fulfilled promises in our lives.

Thank you for all the support you have poured out into my life through the most unexpected and wild “yes” I have ever given <3
